Just completed a fascinating two days of conferences in Brighton.
It started full of caffeine listening Susan Weinschenk’s talk on vision, hearing and the brain and did not stop being riveting.
Saturday at Clearleft’s new studios was incredibly interesting all day. The UX Camp Brighton team who put it together created brilliant structure for all of us to share and discuss ideas – of which there were many. This picture is of my talk in full flow. It was about how we could treat photographic images with more reverence to make our product communicate better. I had some fantastic feedback afterwards from designers of all sorts of products.
The day ended with a great chat with Rob Pearson (@robotperson) at the bar about measurability of emotive photography, “my wife likes blue”, and how Newton had to adapt language for his own needs… amongst numerous other matters. Such an interesting couple of days. The spirit of the event was fantastic.
