My name is Ash Gibson. I am a freelance creative director and designer. My work focuses on users needs and product requirements. I work with businesses, technologists, editors, designers, photographers, film makers & illustrators to make brands, content & products communicate their message.
My blog is about design in its broadest form. I am interested in how and why things communicate, how we respond to the way they look, how old ideas inform new ones and big ideas inform small ones.
I have spent my whole life designing, reading and talking about visual things and art experiences – from long before I was old enough for art college. Almost everyone I know, in some way or other, makes things for a living. This blog should eventually become a home for all our ideas, facts, notions and theories that may or may nor have a visible home in our working days but, in some way or other, still inform our “making of things”.
